I'd read that this might be a bit of a disappointment but actually I liked her - the enigmatic look in her face made you wonder what she must be thinking - does she look sad or thoughtfully reminiscing about something - it did make you stop and think for a while and study her. And the walk there (from... More

We chose not to walk here but to view it from a tourist boat. Sadly, it was hard to see it because of the glare but I think you can get as much from looking at a picture as from being there.

It was my first time in Copenhagen , I researched about the place and site seen before my arrival and I was amazed how easy it is to explore. One the second day I felt like I knew the place already. Little Mermaid is one of the places I visited , took a tour bus and got off at the... More

The little mermaid is another must-see in Copenhagen, a nice park is close and invites to relax in the sun. Especially during sunset the view onto the mermaid is nice. A walk to the mermaid should not be underestimated though, it took us longer than we thought it would.

One of those things that you need to see while you are in Copenhagen but when you get there ( we walked) you will think to yourself...is that it??!!!! All this walking just for this! We had a good size beer after we got back to the apartment..

The statue was quite small, it was not that bad actually, especially considering its historical value. However, there were just so many tourists taking pictures in front of the statue for such long time, if you are looking forward to have some peaceful moment with this statue, I would not recommend. The park that surrounds the statue is really good... More

You have to see the little mermaid when in Copenhagen. Surprising how far out she is, and how small for all the hype! But on the way there is the Gefion fountain, which is worth seeing.

Look, I'll be honest. The statue itself is quite small and i think many people visit expecting more. I will say that it is in a beautiful spot, and fans of the Hans Christian Andersen take or the Disney film will not want to miss it. Close to the statue is a beautiful church and the Kastellet, an incredible Danish... More

The little mermaid is quite underwhelming (and surrounded by picture takers) but it's set in a lovely spot on the edge of a giant park that is very peaceful.
