The dome comes alive with the incredible painting work. The pipe organ is also one of the most ornate we have seen on our travels. This church does not seem to be overly visited which is just incredible as it is truly beautiful on the...More

This church is located rather bit remote, regarding the strict centre of Copenhagen around the City Hall, Tivoli Park, Stroeget str. and Christiansburg Palace. We needed to go toward northwest from the very center of Copenhagen,to get to this amazing gothic church, called Grundtvig Church....More

The church was really promising when seeing its photos on the internet. However, in real , I find the church rather disappointing. The very light and minimal architecture is only reflected on pictures. It's a rather boring and clean church with nothing but basic bricks...More

When I walked into the church I met a guy who was kind to show us behind the walls of the church. It is amazing how that bricks can stand so tight on the walls. It is a must see church.

This is a stunning church, it was closed when we went but was worth the trip. It is opposite a lovely park with lots of ducks and geese which we explored for hours by bike as part of the trip.

This church is truly awesome, it looks like it was dropped out of the sky by the Borg or some other alien species. It also has the largest pipe organ i have ever clapped eyes on.

How do you get there via public transport from the Nyhavn area. Or what is the closest metro stop to the Church?

Bus 6A, wich has stops on "Rådhuspladsen" (city hall) and "Nørreport", till take you straight there. Get of 2 stops after you pass a statue of an owl on your right - or ask the busdriver to let you know, when it is time to... More
