I had a chance to quickly walk through this museum. As someone who has always loved interior design, I was delighted with the way the museum was curated and having the ability to see a variety of design pieces from the past. It was also interesting to get a glimpse into Danish design and its evolution. I would recommend this... More

If you are into design in any way you must build in some time in your schedule to visit this place. We all know that Danish design has made its mark on the global scene but you probably never realised how many pieces you have admired along the way are actually based on work done by Danish designers. This museum... More

An interesting mixture of fashion, furniture and other design items. Plenty to hold one's attention for an hour or more.

If you're an architect / graphic designer / furniture designer / anyone who appreciates well crafted design then this is a place to go see whilst in Copenhagen. The museum mainly showcases Danish furniture designers through the last century. Amazing works and when I was there, there was a section dedicated to children's furniture, toys, playgrounds, and their development through... More

The museum building itself is lovely – and in the summer you can stroll in the inner yard, which has a small, pretty garden. The museum has some special exhibitions (check their website for information) and a nice collection of design items (clothes and shoes included) from various decades. The museum café is also very nice, as well as the... More

This beautiful museum has a fascinating journey of danish design on display. The porcelain (not really my style) was gripping. But the furniture and the utensils, the door handles, the spoons, the coffee pots, the frank geahry chair of cardboard.......all stunning to see and behold. The Danes really know how to,do,it and you have to appreciate the simplicity and elegance... More

I was disappointed. The collection was a mess. Not in a good time frame and the information was very little. Especially at the design section. I've seen better collections and I would highly recommend tapholt museum in kolding.

We unintentionally visited this wonderful museum to shelter from the rain. It was a great find! If you are interested in Danish design classics this museum is for you. Think Arne Jacobsen. The artefacts section of the museum was really engaging and the whole family enjoyed it. The fashion and textiles section was less interesting. The cafe was also great.
