We went there with friends on a Sunday, excepting to learn a lot about how beer is brewed, altough we didn't take the tour with a guide or a beer tasting (which costed more, simple visit was 70 DKK for students, which already seemed a lot). The ticket included two beers or a beer and a suprise, we were able... More

Very well organised tour. It is a self walk tour unless you book onto a guided tour but there is plenty of direction and information which made it very enjoyable. great bar at the end as well which made we want to stay and work my way through all of carlsbergs drinks.

Do your own tour brewery! Good for those already visited brewery before and already know the brewing process. So one can walk on one's own speed through the history, production area and displays. For us this was perfect. Great restaurant where one can have lunch and use one's taster coupons. We loved that we could try the beer with food... More

We came here after a recommendation from a friend. There were quite a few mixed reviews online so we were unsure what to expect. There seems that be a lot of development going on around the factory at the moment, however we managed to find the entrance! The tour was interesting but there was a lot of reading. We would... Copenhagen knows many rainy days, so Visit Carlsberg is a good place to go when in Copenhagen. It is located out of the centre of the city, so it requires a bit of a walk, but you can also take the S-tog from central station which stops nearby. Apparently they also have free busses, but it was hard for us... More

I don't drink, but came as my hubby wanted to visit. It was really interesting reading about history and how it has become the popular brand of today. the horse and cart rides weren't operating due to the weather, but e did go in the stables and see the horses. Once we did the tour, we went to the restaurant... More

I'd not recommend it for people who is looking for a proper factory to visit. No, it is a museum with billion of bottles that were made since 1847 and some mechanisms and huge barrels. Also you can see videos how was it before, in 1947, how they brewed how they cleaned and maintained everything. Pretty exciting. You can try... More

We wanted to visit this refinery because we love Carlsberg. It is to me one of the best beers in the world. The tour is nice, not out of this world, however, the two big elephants are worth visiting. They are a coulple of blockes away from the museum inside the factory.

So this isn't actually a working brewery and the "tour" is walking through a museum of sorts and reading about the history of this brewery. It was interesting at first, but there's just too much to read.It was fun to see the horses, but not really worth the ticket price just for that. Instead of paying for the tour, I... More

Staying in Outer Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Vesterbro
Home to a large shopping center and cinema complex named Fisketorvet (Fish Square), this area includes numerous shops, several restaurant as well a state of the art IMAX theatre. This shopping center is situated at the harbor front, and as Copenhagen is one of the cycling capitals of the world, also sports two of the most interesting bridges in the city: one for cyclists only called Cykelslangen (“Cycle Snake”) which weaves through the modern buildings around Fisketorvet. The other, Bryggebroen, which is both for pedestrians and cyclists, takes you across the harbor to Islands Brygge.
