We visited in February - the free bus shuttle only operates March to October - so we took the train. If you don't have a map, you would struggle to find 'Visit Carlsberg' from the station. Follow the path up the hill to the left and then the attraction is signposted. Having visited the Heineken experience in Amsterdam, this attraction... More

Been other beer museum, you've been at most. Here you can wander through the entire history of the brewery and eventually ends up in a store where you can buy souvenirs. The beer tasting course well and is a good thing to have when you have gone through the whole museum. Recommended on a day of rain.

The construction around Visit Carlsberg makes getting there a bit complicated, but once you're there, there's plenty to see - and taste. There's a good overview of the company's history and philosophy, as well as opportunity to taste multiple brews and pick up fun branded souvenirs.

The experiencce is what it is; Carlsberg is the Danish beer brand. We've all heard of it and this is a slice of something touristy surrounding it. From the bottle collection to the history to getting a free beer, it's a fun afternoon attraction where at the end you get a decent, clean tasting beer.

I also recommend taking the trip on the horse carriage - that was included, and try different beers at the end. You are allowed two beers and it doesn't have to be the carlsberg lager, there is also dark beer which they brew locally and it's super tasty!!! 😚

Visited in February 2017. Finding the entrance proved to be difficult due to poor signing and ongoing construction around. The place was quite cold inside despite walking indoors. Whole experience consists mainly of static exhibitions with placards on the walls and some bizarre videos without commentary. Not engaging visitors in any way and not interactive. If you are looking for... More

We visited here in Feb 2017. We got the Sightseeing bus (Carlsberg route), which dropped us a little bit away from Carlsberg. This is where the confusion and frustration started. There is construction ongoing around the factory and as a result, the original entrance is blocked. However, the original signage is up, so nobody knew how to get to the... More

Whilst you don't get to see much of the actual brewery, the history of the brewery and business in general is interesting. The entrance fee includes a free drink and gift (or two free drinks). There are two bars to get your free drinks...Which doesn't have to be beer. Cider was included, and tasted good! If you fancy a bit... More

With so much to take in, in this stunning city we are so glad to have walked out to the exhibition. We knew you can pick up the free shuttle but as we were staying at islands brygge the walk along the soutbank and over by the old fish market alllowed loads of photo opportunities on a crisp clear day.... Staying in Outer Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Vesterbro
Home to a large shopping center and cinema complex named Fisketorvet (Fish Square), this area includes numerous shops, several restaurant as well a state of the art IMAX theatre. This shopping center is situated at the harbor front, and as Copenhagen is one of the cycling capitals of the world, also sports two of the most interesting bridges in the city: one for cyclists only called Cykelslangen (“Cycle Snake”) which weaves through the modern buildings around Fisketorvet. The other, Bryggebroen, which is both for pedestrians and cyclists, takes you across the harbor to Islands Brygge.
