This was only the second time I went to the Danish national stadium . And this time I look my young son(11) , and it was perfect. Apart from the fact you can smoke in the stands which isn't ideal, you can get there and away easily. Fair enough it was an FCK match mid week, but I hear it... More

I caught the 14 bus from near central station to Parken stadium with my wife. Buy a card of ten bus tickets and pop it once for each person in the machine at the front of the bus. FC Copenhagen were playing Aarhus. The stadium is interesting and very cheap compared to England-£11 plus a free programme. The staff are... More

Went for a concert - sound was good, but the organisation of the concert was horrendous - especially getting out from there, had there been a fire we'd have been toast! No public transport available at midninghyt when concert was finished - meaing 50000 people have to walk back to town. Avoid this as a concert venue.

Not a good venue for a concert, terrible acoustics, but the Boss was very good. Maybe if they took the roof of? Don't think I would choose the arena for a concert again.

The building is ugly and bombastic - placed in the nice park of Fælledparken. But functionallity including the sliding roof is genious and functional. - as a building it is like a bird dropping in your eye.

If you are to visit Denmark and you have the slightets interest in football, it would be worth you while to watch one of the greatest Danish teams play. It might not be as big as you'll se other places in Europe, but there is no atmosphere like the one when FC Copenhagen plays a match. 90 minutes, at least,... More

Being such a big fan of the Danish National Team and this actually being the home of that team I am sorry to say, that Parken really is a very bad stadium in an international context. Build in the depression of the early 90's it is small, ugly and looks more like an office rise than a place for football.... More

I just went to see this show at Parken in Copenhagen. I wish I had looked at reviews before I made the bookings.. First of all the location was too big and we had seats on the side of the stage. As a consequence we could not see half of the show, especially when they used the big spotlights on... More

Staying in Outer Oesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Oesterbro
Fælledparken continues into Outer Oesterbro, where Parken (Denmark's national soccer stadium) is located. In the middle of Outer Oesterbro you’ll find Østre Gasværk, which is a popular theatre located in an old (brick-wall) gas cylinder. Travel to the easternmost part of Outer Oesterbro to reach Nordhavn, a harbour area where most of the development is over water, showcasing Copenhagen's constant development. Nordhavn is home to the UN City and to pricey penthouse apartments which, on a clear day, can see all the way to Sweden.
