Seeing the Royal Carriages used over the years and still used was a thrill. There are currently 14 horses used for ceremonial purposes that are in the stable and are used every day to keep them in practice. There is a display of Royal riding...More

Took my grand-daughter who is animal mad - she read out all the information cards - and loved looking at the real horses. In the museum not so amused with the stuffed horses. Overall great time there

It wouldn't be worth seeing all on it's own but it's a nice addition to the palace combo ticket. It's unfortunate we were there when the horses were not there. There was a lot of interesting history about the Royal horses in Denmark.

It was misty and cold, but good fun to watch. I liked the combination of everyday-ness and spectacle.

Short stop with card or combo ticket. Get to see ( and stroke) some of the horses and view the carriages used in the past and present royal processions. Short video on the work of the stables and that's it. Only a 10-15 minute visit....More

You have to take the time to check out the Royal Stables and the Royal Kitchen while visiting Christiansborg Palace. This is quite a large area where they keep all the horses that are used for the carriages and riding. They still use the horses...More
