Transport yourself back to days of royalty in Copenhagen. Gaze at the old-time carriages and saddles, admire uniforms worn by riders in days of yore and meet the modern-day residents of the actual stables. Giddy-up!

It wouldn't be worth seeing all on it's own but it's a nice addition to the palace combo ticket. It's unfortunate we were there when the horses were not there. There was a lot of interesting history about the Royal horses in Denmark.

It was misty and cold, but good fun to watch. I liked the combination of everyday-ness and spectacle.

The royal stables keeps many white horses. Some are friendly and you can touch them gently. Plan this to be part of your visit to the Christianborg palace. Due to time constraints, I've just spent 15 minutes in here. You could be here perhaps 45...More

You have to take the time to check out the Royal Stables and the Royal Kitchen while visiting Christiansborg Palace. This is quite a large area where they keep all the horses that are used for the carriages and riding. They still use the horses...More

The Royal Stables are part of the Christiansborg Palace experience. Outside, you can see the grounds where sometimes the horses are seen being walked by their handlers. It is free to stand here and look in the grounds area. Inside the stables (you will require...More

The Royal stables are a shorter visit at the end of June/July as the horses are out to pasture. The exhibit in its place is nice, but probably not worth it on its own (as part of Copenhagen card, it was worth the stop). The...More
