This beach is great, lots of spaces for any sort of activities and sports, very good facilities and generally very clean. Stop at the sea baths for a great opportunity to jump in the sea!

Nice scenic view in the summer, and a good beach for bathing. A good place for grilling and hanging out with friends.

Amager was not a very popular district until recently. Amager Strandpark is a relatively new spot but a really good one. A long walk by the water, through the sand hills or by bike with a great view on Oresund Bridge and skyline of newly bulit apartments - that is what you do.

Amager – Strandpark (Park of the beach of the Amager island, in English) is a zone located in the Amager island, near Copenhagen. In fact, with public transport, you can arrive to the central part of the city in less than 10 minutes, so it is good-communicated. It is a very beautiful park on the sand of the beach, and... More

I went for a walk on the beach on a grey, rainy day, and the water was so beautiful. The sky and the water was the same color and it's quite hypnotizing to look at. The beach is a beautiful place to walk and a very popular and busy attraction in the summer. It's a great example of the darling... More

I used to live nearby. I take always all my foreign relatives and friends to Amager Nationalpark.o see the sea, to see what it it provides, I take there sometimes for fishing, a swim, for a grillparty, picnic, a jogging tour, training in the outdoor training device, this park built on wasteland after the Oeresund Bridge is so useful, for... We visited Amager Strandpark by bikes. It was windy in the evening, but sunset was very nice. Malmo towers and Oresund bridge can be seen. People spend time after work kiteboarding or just sitting admiring the view.

I recommend biking to this beautiful beach that has windmills in the distance (they look surprisingly attractive in this setting!) Fantastic beach right in Copenhagen!

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
