I visited here from the UK in January to see the vocal artist Jason Mraz. Dr Koncerhtus was very easy to get to in central Copenhagen walking or tube. They have friendly, helpful staff who of course all speak perfect English which helps. It is also the most beautiful venue.

This is really great concert hall. It was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. It has a very attractive design, looks like a blue cube from a distance. The interior design is also very tasteful. The acoustics are stunning. Really, really good. Despite what other reviewers have written, you don't have to pay for the wardrobe. There is a guarded... More

This venue is stunning, and the acoustics are incredible. For those looking to eat beforehand, there is a restaurant in the complex, but I didn't see it as it was so busy for my gig. There are small bars, too, within. You can get there on the Metro from Norreport, direct to DR Byens, no problem at all. From Norreport,... More

This was a concert where most of the music was from the famous concert at The Sands in Las Vegas. However why introduce new music and not solely the music from the famous concert.

It's hard to separate the location from the amazing performance of Jason Mraz, but I'll try... the concert house is truly amazing, set just on the edge of the city center, with a rail that stops right there, it is very easy to get to. The building is very new and modern. The flow as you enter is very quick... More

First things first, the acoustics in this venue are incredible - a simple google search will reveal the background behind the design and build which I won't go into here, but rest assured, these are bang on - we sat in 6th row and the clarity of the singers voice was beautiful, it really was the epitome of an acoustic... I have been to a LOT of concerts and a lot of venues but DR Koncerthuset was THE best venue I have ever been in. I don't know how many rock concerts they have there as it seems like it would be for fancier events, but... it was awesome. I have to think every seat in the house would have... More

A stunning building to listen and watch a concert. The setting is all way around the outside of the stage and the architecture is unusual and great. The drinks weren't too expensive. I disliked being made to take my coat off and check it into a cloak room. It's a compulsory rule yet they make you pay, you should only... More

A very unpleasant start to the concert. When we arrived half the party were told they had to pay to leave their coats in the cloakroom despite wanting to keep them on, as they had only light tops on underneath. It was left up to a few members of staff to decide and in force which coats / jackets could... More

The Danish Radio Concert Hall is a splendid venue for concerts due to its excellent acoustics. The building was designed by Jean Nouvel and is also worth seeing for its architectural merits. We come here occasionally to watch the Danish Symphony Orchestra perform and a couple of times, we had dinner at the restaurant, which is usually open when there... More

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
