Our group of 6 booked this tour with Charlotte Thalmay. She couldn't make it but sent us a wonderful guide named Jonathan Harmat. Jonathan took our group around Copenhagen on a terrific tour of Jewish Copenhagen. Not only did we get to see the sights and sounds of this great city, but we received a wonderful history lesson on the... More

A wonderful personalized tour of Jewish Copenhagen but incorporating a lot of aspects of Other aspects of Copenhagen. The Synagogue, Jewish museum and all aspects were covered in detail with a truly personalized perspective.

Our low rating will certainly be an outlier given the stellar reviews given by others who have taken this tour. However, what other rating could we possibly give for a tour that never took place because the owner of the tour company completely forgot about us and left us stranded at our hotel? Our busy travels through Scandinavia and other... More

Dear Terry Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. Again I will apologize that I made a mistake and where not able to give you and your husband a Jewish tour of Copenhagen. A tour that you really forward to. During our company´s 10 years of existence this has never happened before, and we have taken the necessary steps to... More

We toured for 5 hours with Mette. She is a wonderful warm person with a wealth of knowledge and personal experiences to share. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. It's one of the best

This is a 5-hour tour, beginning with a walk through really important areas of Copenhagen (including the Royal Palace Square) that enable one to set the context for the Jewish part and are likely more informative than many others without the specific Jewish focus. The Jewish-specific part (but one that would interest non-Jews too) begins with a visit to the... More

In July, 2016, our guide in Copenhagen was Mette who provided my wife and I a very in-depth and knowledgeable walking tour of many of the major historic and secular sites in the city as well as of the Jewish Museum (a tremendous facility on many levels) and the Copenhagen Synagogue (her family's synagogue). Mette, due to her family's first-hand... More

My wife and I visited Copenhagen for the first time in July 2016 prior to a cruise. Our guide was Charlotte. We were staying at the Copenhagen Marriott and she met us at the hotel. She took us to the Jewish Museum which was very interesting and because her parents had lived in Copenhagen during World War II was able... More

Jewish Copenhagen tour included three hour tour of city, the synagogue and then a drive to nearby Dragor, one of the fishing villages from which the Jews were secretly transported to Malmö, Sweden to escape the Nazis over two nights in October 1943. Out guide told us the details of how her father and grandmother escaped. Her grandfather was a... More

We took the Jewish Walking Tour and combined it with the Rescue Route Tour. Cannot recommend this tour and our guide, Mette, highly enough. We had our college age daughter and her 3 friends, who have been studying in Denmark for the past 3 months and we all learned something. The rescue route tour was fascinating and the little town... Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
