Copenhagen Free Walking Tours invites you to join our 3 different Free Walking Tours through the heart of Copenhagen. We suggest starting with our Grand Tour of Copenhagen, taking in the famous city landmarks like Christiansborg Palace, Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace while we discuss history, culture, people, food and so much more on an easy 3 hour walk through the city center of Copenhagen. This tour starts everyday at 10 am, 11am and 3pm from the steps of the City Hall (Radhuspladsen).

Keep your eyes peeled for bright neon green umbrellas!

Join us in Spanish at 11am everyday at the steps of the City Hall, and at 4 pm for the Christianshavn tour at Højbro Plads (find more information on our website)

We also have two alternative tours - the Christianshavn Tour, and the Classical Tour. Both tours run for 90 minutes and see distinct neighbourhoods in Copenhagen that we do not cover on the Grand Tour.

We also work closely with Pub Crawl Copenhagen! Come and drink with us!

Check out our website for seasonal start times and locations.

Please make sure to book in advance on our website, otherwise we can't promise you a tour!

Dan O was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job of making sure everybody was informed about the city. Was very accommodating for our visually impaired gentleman whilst making sure every person was hydrated on a hot sunny day!

A 3 hours tour looked like alot but with Magnus as guide this went by super quick. He was entertaining with jokes and fun facts about the city and culture. Also his knowledge about the city history was very extensive. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it a lot - we truly recommend it!

Must do for first time visitors. I was little jet lagged and ended up having to force myself to go. Glad I did!! Luis made the time fly.

I thought 3 hours would be way too long but it went by. On a personal note, I thought our guide had a bit too much dark comedy (teasing, sarcasm, etc.) but overall it was very creative, interactive, and a great way to see the city. I even got to share some new things with my friends who live in... More

We did the Grand Tour starting at 11 with Simon. Amazing guy, funny, sarcastic like any londinese and a Danish history expert. Very much recommended.

We went on an afternoon tour of the city and really enjoyed it. It lasts for a few hours but you see a lot of the tourist spots, and learn some history about them too. Would definitely recommend!

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
