Neighbourhood: Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

This was but unusual building on canal bank, just realised later it was theatre. Perfectly fitting to environment, natural materials. I have not even taken any pictures what I regret a bit. Very unusual fit, but 👍

It is a registered trademark building of the city of COPENHAGEN. I visited his restaurant. It offers spectacular views of the canal, and the space is comfortable and spotless. Definitely recommended for rest and serenity !!!

I only went through the cafe area so didn't really get a full experience of seeing something here. But I did like the interior a lot. The portraits of all the different actors was a nice touch and the architecture choice is cool and inviting and striking. One day I'll see a show here hopefully.

Enjoyed a great show but trip was severely damaged by sad slow service in bar and loooobg lines for the ladies room
Art at restaurants and food in cultural sites should always be avoided
Unfortunately i did not remember this clever advice
Long lines in rush hour due to too little staff and inexperienced staff left us gulping down our very expensive coffee in order to be ready for the play
Subsequently we were sadly surprised to learn that toilet capacity was approx 50% (sad because it was sold out)
To mane worse the toilet paper was out so when finally in stall a pile of stinky hand towels used in lieu of toilet paper wereon the floor
Never coming back
Will find theater with service next time!

The performing arts center at Sankt Annæ Place is a lovely addition to the waterway and accessible both by public bus and public water taxi.

The theatre is intime and gives the audience a great experience. The surrounding areas is nice and calm - the foyer offers a great view to the chanel

Located across the opera house, facing the sea, the theatre is a really impressive building. Unlike the opera house, it did give me the sense of coldness. Maybe the wooden outer walls give the structure a friendlier look and feel. I had a walk around the building enjoying the scenery. It is a nice place to spend some time having a coffee on the pier.

We passed this place on our segway tour and thought it looked really cool with the big glass facade windows. We went for lunch to have the traditional danish open sandwiches. The food itself was actually tasty, but the service just awful.
The table next to us was offered a breadbasket, we weren't.
After we finished lunch we ordered coffee and cake. The coffee arrived, the cake never did. We basically finished our coffee, after having asked a waiter to check up on it. But she never returned with an answer.
We then just told them to cancel the cake. They then apologised and just said ok. In my opinion I think they could have just said we will of course bring it anyway, but maybe I just have higher expectations.
The overall vibe from the waitstaff was just so indifferent like they didn't care.
