Worth seeing if you're nearby, but most definitely not worth staying 40-50 minutes just for this. It's not mind-blowing or spectacular.

We recently viewed the Changing of the Guard. We were in Copenhagen prior to our Baltic Cruise. The Queen was not in residence so the ceremony was very minimal... no music etc. If you have the choice between here and Stockholm, skip here and view...More

Having seen the changing of the guards in Stockholm I would not waste standing for 30-40 minutes to see this. I did and left half way through. If you are in Cohenhagen for several days you might want to watch, but if you are there...More

Decent changing of the guards ceremony. Nowhere near as good as London, Windsor or anywhere in UK but worth a few minutes of anyone time. For some reason the soldiers look like Napoleonic era Frenchmen but we won’t hold that against them.

If you’re in the area you should definitely see it. Always fun for the little kids to see. The ceremony is nice. We were at the design museum so it worked out. Not sure I would make a special trip just for this though. Lots...More

Definitely fun to watch, but if the Queen or Prince aren't home, there isn't too much to see. We were a bit disappointed because the Queen's flag was flying, but there were no musicians, etc. But definitely fun to see, especially if you're already in...More

We caught this from the baracks and followed it all the way to the palace - loved it - great experience - lots of drama, exciting & so close to the action. Big hit with all the family.

Every day at 12 the Guard is changed. and it is quite a ritual and worth to watch. If the queen is home there will be a flag over the palace she lives in (the middle one). And in such case the Guard change is...More

I guess it's been many decades since I saw guards at Buckingham Palace so I was fascinated by the palace guards standing at attention and then doing their walk. They were very patient with tourists wanting to take pictures of them and with them. This...More

This is in my opinion worthwhile to see and to experience even though yes it is touristy sort of. The courtyard is impressive and the grounds and the guards and the architecture and colors make it a cool experience and it is worth it.
