Unfortunately it was closed when we went there in spite of the information we had, so could only view from the outside.

A swift 5 minute tour as a service was due to start at 12 - but worth a proper look round for those interested in church architecture.

Stopped in because it was on my way to the castle from downtown. Great example of Scandinavian architecture with some interesting literature to take a look at. Worth a look.

Named after its patron saint, St. Olaf. Church was founded in about 1200 but current building was completed in 1559. Built of red bricks, its a three aisle church with central aisle as higher. Its organ was built in 1969. Pulpit dated 1567 is among the oldest in Denmark. Altar is beautiful and inlayed in gold.

This is a nice church downtown Elsinore. It is called St. Olav and is a cathedral built in 13th c. The walls are whitewashed enhancing the few ornaments within. The most original thing to see is the baptism corner - quite unique.
