The vibrantly colored houses and cobblestone streets take you back into a time when life was much simpler. It also provides a chance for some excellent photo op's. The half day trip to Helsingor Havn and the Castle are a great take.
The harbour (Havn) is the connection between the train station, Maritine Museum, Kronborg Castle, 'HAN' and the city center with shop and restaurants. Nothing much is happening there, but in the summertime there might be small art exhibitions.

Yes, it's a very straightforward journey and Helsingor is the end of the line so you can't miss it. Try to pick up a timetable for the return journey in Copenhagen as Helsingor station isn't very user-friendly.
