You'll walk past a number of nice shops and restaurants. Its about a mile. You can easily see the castle. There's a boat to ferry you across the lake or you can walk. I enjoy the walk, so I walk. It's well worth spending the day. If you have time, explore the town of Hillerod also. Safe travels!
