Nice fountain but nothing special that's worth driving to Spili to see, cool if it happens to drive through the village stop for a coffee and see the fountains but that's all.

During the day, this is a nice little village to stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat. If you are smart enough to stay in Spili (as my wife was) this is a perfect evening hang out location. Many of the locals come...More

A nice friendly little village, with plenty of tavernas, local shops as well as the Lion fountain and Spili Church to visit. We visited in May, and not too busy, so if you are in the area Spili is a lovely place to visit !

Stopped here on our way North to Rethymno to grab a quick bite. Beautiful fountains and the village itself is lovely too! Love the fact that the water is drinkable! Not really worth a separate trip in my opinion though.

Cool fountain. We didn't try the water, but we heard that it was drinkable. Easy to find, no tourists because it is winter here in Crete. No restaurants open in Spili, but it was a wonderful drive to see the fountain!

Spilli never fails to delight and the fountain is a reminder of just how pure and life giving the waters of the Cretan mountains can be. Set in the centre of the village, they are unmissable, cool and relaxing and within easy reach of some...More
