The electric train took us through some lovely NZ scenery. Even though it was wet the cars were dry and warm. Neil & Jane were great hosts.

I'm a huge train fan, but didn't know this existed. I saw a video at our hotel and we made a spontaneous decision to try it out. Fun journey, nice views and informative recordings allowed us to learn more about Rotorua and the surrounding area history. A fantastic idea and unique adventure.

Helen was a great hostess with a heck of a sense of humour. These people have worked so hard to provide a marvellous journey through some pleasant countryside. Very relaxing and enjoyable, the four of us are most grateful. I am on my way back with more friends. Teenagers may find it a bit mundane but only if they don't... More

Love TRAINS, what about miniature, actually Golf Buggy style, (seats four) you can even let the little ones in the front. Fully automated V3000 Cruiser Self Drive Hybrid, offering approx 20ks of Native Forest and Farm land with commentary at certain locations. As Mamuka Express say 'A Magical Rail Experience not to miss'. and Helpful Staff to Match.

We really enjoyed our time on the rail carts. Gave the feeling of driving your own train and because they are spaced out, most of the time you can't see the carts in front or behind so you really get the feeling of being out on your own. Real fun!

We were actually on our way to another activity centre when we saw the signs for rail cruising and thought we'd take a look, so glad we did. Turned up just in time for the first run of the day, staff were friendly and informative and soon we were trundling down the tracks enjoying the scenery, listening to the commentary... More

A gentle ride in something cross between a golf cart and a pod (like you get at Heathrow); not much chance to do any driving as the car is pretty much all automated but you can sound the horn and enjoy the scenery. Friendly staff, basic refreshments. Not cheap but its a large enterprise and they say that some of... More

The world doesn't need to pass by at a hundred miles an hour. The trip was leisurely, passing through varied scenery and full credit to the operators for a concept turned into reality. I'll be passing on the brochure to some rail heritage groups back home in Australia. I would thoroughly recommend the experience.

We were not expecting much on a drizzly cool day but boy were we pleasantly surprised. This is a professional outfit and they have overcome many obstacles to make this attraction a must do when visiting Rotorua. From the amazing log house office, come waiting room to the roomy railcars and excellent audio info. The day was not the best... More
