Old fishing village about 10 km outside of town accessible by car or bus, even by bicycle. There is even a small beach, water is usually chilly though. There is a café.

In addition to your visit to the smokehouse you can swim in the Baltic Sea änd have an exellent lunch at a café. The "böckling" you should put on a buttered swedish crispbread and enjoy!

The old fishing village of Bönan is a quick car-trip from central Gävle, and if the weather is nice is worth a trip just to go out and see the old fishing-huts, the old lighthouse and take in the sea air.

Ask about short-cut to Bonan through industrial park and next to railtracks. signs will point you to path once there. Lighthouse is nice to see in bonan and some nice restaurants you can stop to along way.
