This is amazing encapsulation of the airfield and the surrounding area as it was in WWII. It is one of the most impressive memorials to the US aircrew who flew from the UK I have ever visited.

My brother and I have visited this museum twice, once in 2009 and again in 2012. We had a special interest because our Father flew from this base in WWII. He was killed on 15 Dec 1944. The creators, Ralph and Daphne Franklin treated us...More

WOW... the first word that springs to mind is Tardis! From the outside it's a tiny building, but inside the VAST and interesting collection is amazing, with many unique pieces. The small 'chapel' area for quiet reflecting and remembrance is a beautiful thought. Such dedication...More

This is a small, private museum lovingly created by a couple who were local children when the American servicemen occupied the airfield at Thurleigh during the war. They have gathered together, with the help of American veterans and their families, a superb collection of memorabilia...More

A very interesting museum, not as small as you first think. Run by a very friendly couple. It started as a young boy's war time collection and it's wonderful that they now share it with their visitors. Full of war time memorabilia not just the...More
