Malmöhus Castle is Scandinavia´s oldest surviving Renaissance castle. Here Denmark´s coins were minted in the Middle Ages and here Crown Prince Frederick held wild parties in the 16th century. Prisoners were beheaded in the courtyard in the 19th century. Today Malmöhus forms part of Malmö Museer. The castle is part of Sweden´s cultural heritage and is managed by the National Property Board.

This great castle is worth a visit. Inside you can find temporary exhibitions and an aquarium. However the most spectacular is to walk in the old parts of the castle and visit the king's residence and the dungeons.

The picture shows a small quaint fishmarket in Malmö. Well know by locals for years. I pass by here on my way to work, and sometimes drop by at weekends to buy fresh fish! Knowledgeable and passionate staff att the stalls. Go see!

Art, history, aquarium - and a U-boat. You name it. There is a lot to see, and you easy spend hours if you are going to see it all.

A lot of interesting facts and exhibits about Swedish and particularly Malmös history. Diverse museum with temporary exhibitions even including an interactive aquarium.

The castle is well preserved and displays a large number of exhibitions inside. The visiting path through the castle is not well marked and it sometimes feels that you are visiting several sections more than one time, meanwhile skipping others. However, this is the only negative thing I can say about this sight. The castle is not crowded at all... More

Not that special, but still worth a visit, specially if you are in the area. Besides part of the fortress that is still original, there are several exhibitions you can visit.

Went to this museum on day trip from Copenhagen, expecting to spend an hour or 90 minutes. We were so pleasantly surprised, the museum is huge and has something for everyone. Only bad point for me is that I don't support keeping live animals on exhibit, so I would get rid of that. Otherwise, special exhibitions on Swedish culture and... More

Day one of our visit to Malmö, not that there's lots to see, we expect a relaxing few days. So we walked and visited Malmö castle. It's the kind of tourist attraction interest me. First of all , to reach the castle or fortress, you walk past various types of unrelated exhibitions. We saw some checks and polka dots clothings,... More
