It's not so often you see a cathedral in the baroque style. If the outside is rather grand and reminiscent of Italian architecture, the inside of the cathedral is very sober in a white coating, with some artifacts worth of notes, especially the organ.

Very beatiful inside and not like other Swedish churches, more European styled and impressive! Def worth a visit when in Kalmar!

Not so much to see. Normal plain Scandinavian church. Guite dull. But if your in to churches you should visit this one too.

Besides the ornate decorations, this church provided a clarinetist who also sang beautifully. The organ gave me chills, it was so full and beautiful. Everything was done in Swedish, but there was a bulletin that had the English translation.

A beautiful Baroque Cathedral built in the early 1700's. We attended an organ recital which was magnificent. Guides were available to show us around. Our grandchildren had been baptised here which made it more special for us. A very beautiful contemplative place in the heart...More
