About
The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

This has been the highlight of our tour if Scandinavia. To see this magnificent vessel inspires awe and to hear its fate is almost a comic-tragedy. It sailed for 20 minutes, proclaiming the power of the Swedish king and nation to all...then sank after a...More

I spent around an hour inside the museum. It is impressive to see this huge Viking ship being preserved for the next generations. Don't miss the movie shown on the ground flour.

As a member of the maritime community most of my life I loved this. A bigger ship than for it's own good. A lot of spectacular wood carvings and artistry.

This museum will surprise even those who don’t love museums. The ship is massive and impressively well preserved/reconstructed. The restaurante of the museum has a nice outdoors terrace and serves delicious food. I totally recommend this museum.
