The island is a nice walk and you get beautiful views of Stockholm. The Skeppsholmen bridge is the location of the golden crown and is the perfect spot for taking postcard pictures for Stockholm. The island is well connected to the other islands and is...More

We enjoyed walking on this island and neighbouring Kastell holmen as it was where our lovely Hotel Skeppsholmen was. You get very good views of Gamla Stan from here. We visited the modern art museum and took the ferry over to Djurgarden.

After the Modern Museum closed on Saturday evening, we had a long walk around the Island. Temperature was just above freezing, so we encountered few people. Very interesting sites and ambience. Highly recommend spending some quiet time here. Now that we are back in the...More

we took the ferry over and walk back to old town. Not much to see as the art museum we went to visit was closed. However the ferry trip and the walk around the Island was pleasant

Had a nice stroll to Skeppsholmen Island from Gamla Stan. It would be a good idea to have a picnic on Skeppsholmen.

Posing with the big gold crown was a photo-op waiting to happen (and we all do it) but the icing on the cake was the magnificent huge bronze statue of a perfect 10 of a young man locked in combat with an eagle. The sculpture...More

You can walk over the bridge or come by ferry. It's just a cool place to wander around. There is an informal boat museum along the wharf that is really interesting and completely free. Even if you are not interested boats, the small descriptions of...More

Great small and quiet island where we can go for a walk or just to breed and feel the nature. You can visit the modern museum, enjoy great views or chat with some fishermen.
