We stumbled on this view overlooking Gamla Stan as we were exploring the other areas of Stockholm. We walked up a steep road looking for a place for a drink, kept going and found this amazing walkway and viewpoint. Well worth the slog uphill!

I discovered this place through the Millenium Tour. After the tour was completed, I returned with a tripod to take some night shots as you get a great view of Gamla Stan and Kungsholmen.

Hidden Place with Great View over the Mälaren and the City Hall. Not many can find this place as it’s hidden between houses and apartments.

Just an amazing stay on board but be prepared to put up with the size of the cabins which add to the enjoyment of this holiday

One of the best views you will get over Stockholm Old Town... and best of all, it is free! It is a short walk from Sodermaln or Gamla Stan (which ever way you are coming from). Worth the 100 calories to get here. When I...More

A really beautiful spot that one can take really neat pictures from. Almost all important buildings in Stockholm can be seen from here. The only bad about it except for the steep climb from Slussen is that there are tourists everywhere! In other words, it's...More

I believe this is 1 out of 3 major scenic lookouts in the city. The view is quite beautiful and it's not a short strip, so even if it's super busy, you can still find some room to take photos. It's not a very long...More

A free activity in expensive Stockholm situated on Sodermalm - a short walk up a modest hill and you are afforded nice views of the Old Town. When the sun pops out from the clouds it lights up the colours of the buildings so the...More

This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a
postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its
center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase
neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential
area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes
to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with
sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars.
Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park

Hi, no, you can't! To be honest, unless you have a bigger reason for that, its not necessary. Its 2 streets away from one main avenue -Hornsgatan- (5min walk). The point is that that part of the city is already a hill, so... More
