Get the skylift

We could see the Globen arena from where we stayed but noticed one evening that something was moving up its side. Once we discovered there was a lift on the outside, we had to see... read more

I was in the Arena when it was emptied prior to the U2 concert on the 20 Sep, whcih was then postponed until the 22nd. Not much good for those of us who travelled to Sweden for the gig, and have family/work etc to deal with in our own contries so had to return home. Although there are differing reasons... More

Went specifically for the skylift. We typically like to do the touristy "go to the top of....." type things. It was ok. A little further out than I planned and nothing really else to do once you are out there. There's a shopping mall across from the complex but other than that, it's a way to kill a couple hours... We could see the Globen arena from where we stayed but noticed one evening that something was moving up its side. Once we discovered there was a lift on the outside, we had to see the view from there, and it's worth it. I agree with others that it's good to get there early (we still had a half hour... More

The view over the city is really amazing. You can see very far. Be aware that there can be a long waiting line, and there is not a lot to do in the neighboorhood. Go as early as you can.

Being a huge Colorado Avalanche and Peter Forsberg fan, I just had to visit this iconic arena while in Stockholm. It is the center stage of Swedish Ice Hockey. Many famous games were played here. The arena has a special VIP restaurant from which diners can see the game/event that is taking place - something that not many places have.... More

Saw Katy Perry at the Globe, along with Charli XCX, both very good and the show was excellent. Seating enabled good viewpoints from all around, plenty of standing areas too. Staff were extremely helpful, and not overbearing as at some venues. Very clean, and sound was excellent too

If you are trekking about Stockholm with teenagers this might just appeal to them! My 17 year old asked of we could book tickets for the game (Djurgårdens IF Hockey) the next day and although initially skeptical, I ended up loving every fast paced minute. We got the ticket choice wrong however; there is not much difference between the various... More

If you have long legs (I´m 6'4", 190 cm) the seating is cramped and quickly becomes excruciatingly painful. I will never go to a consert there unless I can get a seat down on the arena floor!

They have many activities every year in the Globe Arena. Me and my sisters went to Stockholm and watched Robbie Williams concert in the Globe Arena in May 2014. It was good planned and structured. Easy to get inside and even though it was much people we didn't wait very much to get inside.

While deciding between the Kaknas tower and the Globe Arena from where to see the Stockholm panorama we chose this one. Both are out of city center, but this one is far more interesting. You can easily reach it on a green T bana (metro) line, and from the Globen station is 5 min walk. It takes around 20 min... More
