Nice old boat, greeted and immediately seated. Smorgasbord was lovely with plenty of delicious food with visitors returning time after time to refill. Then cheese and sweets. Alcohol and coffee can be purchased, if required. Nice meander through the islands as far as Vaxholm. Nice going through the ice. Can get outside for some fresh air. It is quite cramped... More

Explore the inner archipelago by boat. The Baltic was frozen and the ice broke up as the boat travelled through it. Wear very warm clothing, hat, gloves, scarf etc as it is seriously cold. Blankets are provided and are much needed. Take a camera to get some lovely photos. Boat stops briefly at Vaxholm but don't get off unless you're... More

One of my Swedish friends recommended that I take an archipelago tour, and I ended up going with Stromma. It's a really great way to get out of the city and see some of the surrounding areas. I was a bit worried that I would get bored of looking at a bunch of islands after a while, but the guides... More

This excursion is a great way to see parts of Stockholm and Sweden you would never otherwise see. Some beautiful scenery, and lovely houses to wonder about, and if you get the afternoon boat, you get some stunning sunset views over Stockholm as you return. I would also recommend getting a restaurant ticket rather than a standard ticket - not... More

This was booked for us by our Swedish friends. We went on New Year's Day and the weather was perfect, cold but bright and sunny. The food was plentiful and delicious. The scenery was stunning. We had the advantage of being with Swedes who were able to point out everything of interest and answer all our questions. It would be... More

I highly recommend this trip. We did the 10:30-1:00 tour and paid for the lunch. Whatever you do, pay for the lunch, otherwise you will be trying to find seats or standing in the cold outside. If you pay for lunch you have a table with view in the restaurant and the lunch is very good. We had salmon salad... More

The boat (S/S Stockholm) is clean and cosy which is good because we went on New Year's Eve. It's a nice 3 hour tour where the main thing you see is people's amazing houses by the coast. The buffet is good, varied and doesn't nearly run out. Book in advance to get a good table.

I booked for 2 to do the 3 hour archipelago cruise on Christmas Day. We booked and paid 3 weeks in advance. After lining up to embark, we discovered that the tour had been overbooked and at least 20 people could not get a seat, ourselves included. While the restaurant was not fully booked, we were not allowed to sit... More

Overall the experience was fine. We were lucky to board early and get a spot on the side of ship with just a table, two chairs, and a window. Otherwise the boat seemed very busy and there were a few people who walked off before it started as there did not seem to be enough seats or room for all... More

Taking this boat from the Stockholm harbour is a marvellous way to travel and to see the Castle. It is undoubtedly the best way in terms of interesting things to see all route and then wonderful as the castle emerges towards the end of the boat trip. In addition, we had lunch on board on our return trip and it... More
