THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

It's fun for a very short amount of time. It's cold, but not unbearably cold - drinks are very sweet or very strong depending on what you order. It's a mad dash at the start to the bar for everyone to get a drink -...More

We took a group of young adults here as a Birthday Celebration and had a fun time. We had been before but the youngsters had not and it proved to be enjoyable once more. The drinks were great and we stayed long enough to buy...More

Staff fabulous, particularly the desk and bar guys. Having been to the London Icebar, this is quite a bit smaller and without as many sculptures and things to see. Didn't spend the full 45 mins here, drinks ok.

in the last week Must visit place in Stockholm! 45 minutes of Chilled experience! Enjoy being in room made of ice, have your drinks from Ice Glasses! Really good fun! Tip: booking online from their website works cheaper than buying tickets on site. Have Fun!

It's nice but smaller than I thought. For the entrance fee you get a glass made of ice with a drink and you can refill it for a cheaper price. I have to say it is not a must-see but you won't be disappointed on...More

My colleagues and I visited the Stockholm Ice Bar because none of us had been to an ice bar. As I don't have much to compare this with, I will say we had a blast because it was new to us. It had some interesting...More

You go here to say you did it, take a few pictures and leave. I will say they did have a decent drink, but the whole thing is a bit of a tourist trap. The ice carvings were nice. But there was nothing about this...More

This was the low point of our day in Stockholm. A complete waste of time with no redeeming value at all. It is literally nothing more than a walk in freezer with some ice blocks, bad drinks, and two lame photo ops. They only offer...More

The Ice Bar was hard to find when we eventually found it it was next to the Train Station where the Arlanda Express arrives/departs from. We managed to stay in for around 45 minutes. Extra warm ponchos and gloves are given to you before entering...More

We had heard about this attraction so decided to make a stop there for a unique drink. Directions were very poor and after 30 minutes of looking we finally found it. Overpriced entrance fee changed our mind about having a drink. It seems like a...More
