THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

The bar made of ice and impressive and the art work is creative. Good range of alcoholic and none alcoholic drinks which are served in an ice... More

It is a tourist attraction that I am not sure we needed to do. we could not even stay for the 45 alloted minutes before getting too cold in spite of having lite down coat on UNDER their provided jackets. Drink was fun and picture opportunities cute.

As other people say, a little hard to find down the alley but it was different and worth going to. Staff is friendly and helpful. They told us they had a group coming in in twenty minutes so we either go in for twenty minutes or wait until the group went through. Twenty minutes was just about the right time... More

Little hard to find as it's down a back alley near the station but there are sign posts. We had to book a slot & come back later on. It wasn't that long a wait. You get 1/2hr (I think) can't remember how much it is but it includes a drink & a big thermal coat type thing. It is... More

Entirely made of ice, -7 Celsius inside, not very large but extremely nice. Good cocktails, friendly staff, good music, nice selfies, should make a reservation before enjoying this out of ordinary bar experience!

Expensive, but really cool to see the whole bar and glasses made from ice. A tourist trap for sure and the bar/room itself is small. Timed entry a must as we see why now. Entry fee includes one drink, which helps.

Although this is a little pricey, it was a really cool experience! I'm not much for going out while traveling, so this Ice Bar was a nice mix of 'sightseeing' and having a drink. Everything in the bar (and I mean everything!) was made of ice, and everyone is given a large parka/blanket with gloves before entering. You get a... More

The Icebar is one of those places you will probably only ever visit once, the sculptures inside were fabulous, the drinks had novel names and tasted superb at -5 degrees in your glass which is a block of ice, you need gloves to hold it. Worth a visit but expensive.
