I walked here from the train station is Espoo. It was a nice walk through some pretty scenery, albeit a little long. There was also a bus that I could have taken. The lake was really pretty, however it was incredibly windy, and there weren’t...More

The beach at the Lake Bodom must be the best part of Oittaa recreational area. Beyond summer time there is a 3 mile long running trail and a 1.5 mile nature path. They are both nice, but overall too little alternatives for my taste.

We have been cycling to Oittaa, and enjoyed time in the beach and also done some kayaking in the lake. There is a small nice island in the middle of the lake where you can stop the kayak at.

The area around the lake is nice any time of the year. I go here every winter for cross-country skiing, the skiing track is optimal if you like variety but don't like too steep hills (if you want hills and a more challenging track, go...More

No matter if it's summer or winter, there's always something to do here. In summer time there is the Angrybirds theme park (also during winter) and a nice beach. During winter you can go ski and skate on the lake.

The Finns love their lakes, forests, sauna... Here you can have a leisurly day out like a local, be it winter or summer. The beautiful winding country road leading to Oittaa sets you already to the right mood. Especially in the summer the place is...More

The beach is really nice although can be crowded. Unless you happen to stay in Espoo's Leppävaara region, it's probably too far away. Nice place nevertheless :)

Ever since I found out that business was taking me to Finland in the middle of winter, I knew I had to try ice swimming. I got the chance to try it here in Oittaa, and it was incredible! Crazy feeling, unique experience and many...More
