If you visit the Aalto Studio, don't miss the Aalto House tour. We did both the studio and house tour and thoroughly enjoyed both guided tours. Our tour group at the house was small (10-12 people). The tour included a 20 minute guided tour of...More

Don't miss the Aalto House and Studio tours if you have any interest in Scandinavian design. The tours are very interesting and both buildings are in great shape.

Again, poor transportation system maps made locating this a bit difficult but worth the search for me as I enjoy the work aspects of this designer.

If you like architecture and even if you don't know Aalto it's worth the shot. The house is splendid and the guide excellent. Nice neighborhood with the sea very close. Only on guided visits, see the website for the timetable. You can come without booking...More

Interesting visit as you get a glimpse of how the Aaltos furnished their home. In that sense different from e.g. the large Aalto museum in Jyväskylää. There are fixed hours for the guided visits and unless you attend in time, you will not get in....More

Went to Aalto House and fascinated by the contents of the house as well as the entire philosophy underpinning the design decisions by the husband and wife pair of Alvar and Aino/Elissa Aalto. The ticket at 18 euro is expensive but worth it if you...More

When Aalto designed this small house for his young family in the 1930's he wasn't yet so famous and well off, in case you wonder why it is so small and rather crowded. The location is now central Munkkiniemi but back then it was open...More
