A fun park in the center of town. The shading trees made the hot day more bearable. Several statues throughout.

This was a great place to hang out and people watch. We had some ice-cream and listened to a local musician before wandering more around the city.

There was a violinist playing when we were in the park. The music is beautiful. We also bought some strawberries and peapod. Both are fresh and tasty. Good place to take a walk or people watching.

Along the main street, of major shops and hotels is in essence a beautiful park in the middle of the street. Monuments, nice walking paths, beautifully lined with trees. Visit the market then walk the Esplanade ....

As we decided to walk from the pier to the Church of the Ruck we crossed through this small cute park with the nice monument of Johan Ludwig Runeberg the great Finnish poet. A lovely spot to see and to relax for a while

The three-block long park is lined with restaurants and shops, has grass patches for picnics, plenty of stalls selling ice-cream and drinks.

This park is really beautiful, it was not too crowed at all. Plenty of places to sit and visit, or to have a picnic.

Had 30 minutes to spare after our day in Helsinki before the shuttle bus back to the ship. Found a fine terrace bar for a drink and watch the world go by. Cool in the shade of the trees. 2 Basset Hounds out for their...More

A promenade and boulevard in the center of one of the main streets in the city. Park-like setting has seating/benches and dining as you walk along the landscaped beauty of this space. It has to be a 1/4 mile long as it serves as relaxing...More

It’s not a big park, near market square and pier. In the park, there is an old fashioned cafe with a lot of open seats, you can enjoy an afternoon tea there. Just facing to the cafe, there is a stage with jazz performance and...More

I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
