We enjoyed walking up and down the esplanade. Flowers, fountains, restaurants, buskers -- all the things you want in a leafy urban oasis.

This park contains restaurants and kiosks and is paced between two lanes of traffic, on one of the best boulevards in Helsinki. Stroll down this park and enjoy the lifestyle of Helsinki. And the fountain at the end of the park sometimes foams over.......

The Esplanadi park is popular with locals and tourists. There was a national festival in the park when we were there and it was nice to see people dressed in national costumes. There is a cafe in the park and stalls selling juice and coffee.

This is a beautifully maintained, tree lined, grassy expanse right in the middle of the old town area of Helsinki. The day we were there they had a sizeable food festival with a multitude of vendors offering national dishes from their respective countries. The place...More

Nice landscaping. Musicians. Plenty of seating. People watching. Easy access. Nice place to relax. Safe daytime and for evening stroll. Connects urban transport to waterside market.

I really liked this space. You get a feel of history and the nobility showing off here. The borders were lovely, not ostentatious, just giving me gardening ideas. The roses were almost hidden within hedges - for protection maybe? There were several fun/interesting sculptures and...More

This small park is a hive of activity, a sort of oasis in this elegant city. All of human life is here but it doesn't't threaten and there is much to amuse. During our short stay in Helsinki it became almost our main drag and...More

Went past the park several times during our stay and each time there was live music, one a group of 6 very accomplished women with string instruments and other times a single violin busker. Great place to stop and rest.

I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
