We popped in here from Senate square. Viewing the Lutheran Cathedral is particularly interesting in comparison to the Orthodox cathedral - such a stark contrast.

More beautiful on the outside than inside. This is a lovely landmark that can help you orient yourself as you're out walking about. The square is also buzzing and has some nice restaurants nearby.

The square is dominated by this church. Impressive on the outside. The inside is austere. In the nearby Helsinki museum is a series of panorama's made from the dome.

Jump one step up, jump one back down. Jump 2-steps up. Jump one back down. Repeat until you get to the top! If you can do this then celebrate by doing 20 press-ups on the top step. AWESOME 👏

Nice Cathedral that really is the one monument you should see while staying in Helsinki. The cathedral looks beautiful from the outside and is also nice inside and free of charge.

In contrast to the Orthodox Cathedral, this is sparsely but tastefully decorated in the simple, uncluttered Lutheran style. Missed the Bach organ concert by two hours...had we known, we woukd have loved that.

This is a must see spot in Helsinki, and you won't miss it! The Cathedral located at the center of the senate square, surrounded by the national library, university of Helsinki, and the senate. The Cathedral itself is an amazing piece of architecture; it was...More
