We visited using our Helsinki Card, so we didn't have to pay admission. But, I think it would have been well worth it if we had paid separately. The buildings that were open the day we visited were really neat and it was cool to...More

I took part in the Seurasaren Juhannusvalkeat, the Midsummer festival and watched their traditions, folksongs, dances and lighting of the bonfires from different provinces. The festival started at 4 pm with some children activities, craftsmen display, then raising the Midsummer pole, procession of flags and...More

We decided to walk out to Seurasaari - a lovely walk, though we were passed by buses and cyclists, so most people find other ways to get there! We had very good coffee at the little cafe at the gate and thoroughlt explored all of...More

After all those open-air museums around Scandinavia and Nordic countries you will eventually get tired of them so you might as well just visit one and get the whole picture. This one though is very expensive however exhibition is nice.

Lived the island, but yhe museum didn't invite me a bit to check it out. Many houses were closed, and those which were open weren't inviting me to check it out (it was included in helsinki pass, so it was 'free' for me, but I...More

Beautiful, interresting, and historical. Definitely worth a few hours to walk the island and see the historic houses from all over Finland.

Bus 25 comes to the entrance, but is infrequent (half hour intervals). Tram #4 (Paciuksenkaari stop) is about a 15 minute walk away but comes every 5 minutes or so. From the tram stiop, cross the street and take the main path that leads through...More

Yes you can cycle to Seurasaari. Indeed the best cycling way follows the coast-line. On the road you have the Hietalahti market Place, big old cemetery, The Sibelius monument in a lovely park and a small cafe cottage just on... More

Hi, the trip from "Olympiaterminaali" takes 50 minutes either by bus 24 or tram 2 and 4. From another cruise harbour "Hernesaari" it is better to take a taxi. The trip takes 25 minutes (about 5 miles).
