Old wooden houses and beautiful landscape. One of best places in Helsinki especially if the weather is good. Lot of urban animals on the island: ducks, geese, blackbirds, squirrels.

Take the bus from Helsinki about a 30min trip well worth the ride, but Seurasaari is very special if you want a day out to escape day to day life and enjoy peace and quite , great walks and views , and fantastic food .

The only bits that are closed are the building interiors. You can still walk through the buildings, and that's worthwhile doing. THe island is very beautiful and worth a visit in its own right.

Hi, the trip from "Olympiaterminaali" takes 50 minutes either by bus 24 or tram 2 and 4. From another cruise harbour "Hernesaari" it is better to take a taxi. The trip takes 25 minutes (about 5 miles).
