Sorry to say, I was in a bit of a hurry during the visit to the museum, and I did not have the time to see all the exhibitions. However, the Story of Finland-exhibition was really interesting and well presented (although you might not get...More

The exhibits begin in the basement with artifacts starting with the Stone Age. The higher you ascend the more recent the history, right up to 2017. A nice children's workshop is on the top level. Looking for wonderful exhibits that reveal more avout Finland. For...More

I felt like I learnt very few from this museum. After being positively amazed by the design and technology of the Prehistory section, I realized this section didnt really gave me a idea of who and from where the Finns are. Im OK with exhibiting...More

The museum gives you much information and it's given in rather an original form. You don't get bored and can feel that Finns really respect their culture and history and treat them with care. A bit too many things from Sweden (which is natural but...)...More

Finely crafted exhibition about the pre-history and history of the area and cultures that have preceded present day Finland. Exhibition is informative and it utilizes contemporary technology in its construction. Highly recomnended.

I 've always loved the building itself. The entrance hall has famous paintings in the ceiling. Suomen tarina -exhibition (the tale of Finland) was really iteresting... at least for a Finn.

The museum takes you through pre history all the way to modern today. The pre history items are particularly impressive. An eye opener to how Finns lived thousands year ago.
