Interesting Sculpture. Nice walk.

If you enjoy a good walk, this is a nice destination. The park is peaceful. Not a big highlight, but nice enough.

We took a cab especially to get here and really couldn't understand the enthusiasm by dozens of tourists standing facing the statue and shooting it like crazy. The park is tiny compared to other we saw on the way back to city center, the statue - totally overestimated, and there are much better ways of spending you day in Helsinki.

We were here on a port stop. It was pouring down the rain and there were large crowds everywhere. We didn't walk around the park due to the weather. Just a quick peek a the sculpture and back on the tour bus.

Buses loaded with Japanese tourists go there. A statue, but very nice scenery by the sea, that's all. I wouldn't put this on my "first things to do" in Helsinki

This is so impressive and of course everyone wants a photo of themselves in front of it. So, if you are good on your pins wak around the back of the artwork and you will get great angles without the crowd. Personally I don't think the bust of the musician adds anything to the sculpture so I prefer photos without... More

I walked along the shore to the park and the day I was there it was sunny and the light bounced off the monument in a way that made the moment special. I loved walking under and around the organ...listening for the wind to blow through and raise a note. The artistry is what drew me in...but beauty is in... More

Luckily we had an excellent guide that told us a bit about the artist who created it , and the public reaction to this piece.... often negative . Read a bit about it before you go.....

A Fascinating monument to a great artist. When you have admired the monument take time to walk across the park and down to the waters edge for refreshments.

This monument is located in a very nice little park some distance out of downtown, but it can easily be reached on the hop on hop off bus. The monument is said to produce beautiful sounds when the wind blows, but we did not hear it. It is certainly worth the visit; especially, if you are a music or Sibelius... More

We were fortunate to be at the monument and park on a beautiful sunny day. After visiting the sculpture, we took a lovely walk along the water.
