Woodchapel located in the Hearth of Helsinki

The space is for just come and sit and be away from the hectic lifestyle we live nowdays. Totally worth if you want to see the Nordic architect how functional it can be.

Loved the inside of the Chapel. I felt really at peace inside the Kamppi Chapel. Recommend to visit if you have the opportunity. Loved the architecture inside more then the outside.

Smack right in the middle of the Finnish capital is a curvilineal wood-covered bowl-like structure serving as a sanctuary to anyone seeking stillness and quiet. Although marked as a church, it is not reserved for any specific religion. Come inside through the glass entrance to find a small hall before proceeding to the chapel space. Except for the cross pattern,... More

As it is natural the city is somewhat loud. Once the chapel door closes behind you, you find yourself in pure silence. Self meditation, thinking, praying, anything which silence is a prerequisite for is what you can do in there. Walk around and touch the walls...Peace!

Epitome of calm in an unlikely local in the heart of a shopping district in Helsinki. The architecture is not only fine but it speaks to the spare Finnish aesthetic known throughout the world. A must see.

Peaceful, quiet and beautifully designed multi denominational space and what I really liked was the offer of counsellors on hand to talk to, if you needed.

It generally does the job as a quiet chapel, with the pine and the window lighting creating a nice interior. The "no photos" signs will be readily ignored, although the people I got were at least being quiet about it. Then the door opened and I heard a loud tour group in the hall, so it was time to leave.

It is important to respect the request not to ruin the serene atmosphere of this place by taking photos. It is a real oasis of calm. People are there to counsel those in need of spiritual releif.

You can tell that Helsinki is lacking in city attractions when this makes the top 5! Deserves no more than a footnote. Go to it if you happen to be within 50 metres of it and want a quiet moment (or if you're in distress, because there are employees at the door who will talk and listen) but apart from... More

A calming silence in the heart of the bustling city. The wooden construction is so spectacular. Free entry.
