my cousin brought us this astronomical observatory as a part of walking tour around here, including cafe Ulsra or sth, which is nice peaceful place when you go during summer

My latest visit was May 9th -16 when Ursa Astronomical Association had a happening here due to the Transit of planet Mercury. It was fascinating to see it with a telescope. Mercury looked really tiny. I've visited the observatory a couple of other times also....More

Tähtitorninmäki is a very beloved place for the locals. If offers great views on top of the small hill. The area is open to the public. The small observatory is open only in certain times.

The observatory provided a wonderful place for the scientists attending the Asteroids, Meteors, and Comets Conference in June. No longer used for astronomy but filled with great relics of past times. The students did a great job, in English, telling guests what tools were used...More
