A historical museum built around archaelogical excavations showing how people lived hundreds of years ago in this town. Interesting details found in the excavations and instructive information boards on the walls. Nice café and good museum shop.

This place is two museums in one! Downstairs, there are medieval ruins and exhibits on historic Finland, and upstairs you'll find a modern art gallery, and a river runs right through the building, which makes for an amazing café in between the two museum areas!...More

In this museum you can see the ruins and things found in medieval Turku – and then see modern art, too. There is nice museum shop (I always find something to buy) and good cafe, too. Peaceful and nice place indeed.

Great gallery depending on the exhibits st the time . We saw lovely wooden sculptures by Finnish artist . Lovely paintings from Ukrainen women as special exhibit !

A great museum to take the kids or grandchildren. Exhibits make an effort to make it exciting and educational for children. It can get a bit rowdy when there are a lot of kids around but an interesting place to visit.

This little underground museum showed us relevant and interesting parts of local history. The story of Matti was fun to follow and we also enjoyed the interactive parts. The art part was poor and felt very unrelated.
