I travel around a lot and get to many galleries, albeit normally for a short visit. I spent an hour today, but would have gladly spent more time if I'd been able. A beautiful building, comprehensive English translation and fascinating, predominately Finnish I think, artwork. I don't think much of Turku to be honest, but i would return to visit... More

First time in Turku and spent the day walking all over town. Stopped into the museum and was very impressed. Lots of beautiful art paintings from the late 1800's and early 1900's. Definitely a place to check out.

The musuem is very beautiful located in a wonderful park. It offers very good temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition presents the best Finish artists.

We got excellent guide for our our group. Guided tour through the exhibition lasted about one hour and we got a very good impression oh the exhibition. After guided tour we had wine tasting inth museum in the spirit of Helene Schjerfbeck. Tasting was excellent and wines (1 white and 3 red from Northern Italy) were excellent. I really hope... More

Turku Art Museum stands on the top of the hill, very near of city center. This exhibition concidered Helene Schjerfbeck´s art, very popular Finnish painter. Exhibition was interesting, but as it was set by chronological order, her latter production was too dark to us, comparing to her early days when she used more bright and vivid colors. Building is made... More

Not too big,or too small. The art museum has changing exhibitions downstairs and upstairs a collection of masterpieces by Finnish artists. Open rooms, well light and nice place on top of the hill. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited the museum to see the works of Helene Schjerfbeck. This was a good day to visit the museum. The currator of the exhibition has done a good work to put the different paintings together in an interested and great way. I had no clue that she was this great artist and painter. Also the permanent exibition had some... More

There are few art museums in Turku, but if you would ask one from the locals the Turku Art Museum would be the one. It is old building locating next to town center and offers you some pieces of art that cannot be found anywhere else. Even you would not consider you as an art lover you might want to... More

If you're into art, this is absolutely a place to visit. The museum isn't that big, so it won't take you the whole day to visit it and even kids may find it interesting. The standard exhibition contains art from all the major Finnish painters of the 19th century. Furthermore they have high standard special exhibitions, both Finnish as well... More
