This museum combines museums exhibits in two buildings with three museum ships you can visit. An excellent way to explore Finnish maritime history in its various facets.

A good maritim museum.very much to see even to people who are not so intrested in motors etc. Very nice guides, kind and helpful! Several big boats to visit, and even a nice cafeteria/lunch.

This is by far the best maritime museum we've visited. The ship models are amazing, the videos and other materials informative and entertaining, and the boat tours are unique. Besides, where else have you seen a three-story room filled with outboard motors?

Due to limited amount of time we only visited the ships outside - the frigate "Suomen Joutsen" (Swan of Finland) and the two minelayers. They are well preserved and worth visiting, takes some time though to catch the details. I'm sure the museum itself would...More

Forum Marinum has plenty to offer. In the summertime you can visit the ships and also visit the museum telling a story about Turku maritime history. This all takes time, but you can have a drink or eat at the Göran restaurant.( Also Turku Castle...More

Large museum, very nice and interesting expositions of maritime life. In summer you can visit ships outdoor. You can easily spend few hours here and maybe a full day if you stop for lunch in nearby restaurant. They have a very nice activities for kids...More
