This was an amazing experience. We drove out from Vik rather than do a day tour from Reykjavik. Our pilot/guide was Thor who clearly loves his job! Be sure to stop just short of the lagoon at one of the pull outs and walk up...More

It was raining heavily and foggy when we arrived for the tour but was surprised they still push on with the tour. I would say the lagoon was beautiful but didn't really enjoy it fully due to several reasons. First, the weather was foggy and...More

We booked this rib boat tour in advance, after reading that it usually sells out. We are so glad that we did! The company provides you with warm, thick winter suits to wear, plus a life jacket. The bus ride to the boats is <5...More

The lagoon was something not to be missed in Iceland, if you can make your way far enough around the south coast. The day we were there, winds had blown many of the glaciers around the lake, so it was hard to get the scale...More

Drove 4 hours to the area and then called company to ask them where they were located exactly. They then told me they canceled trip due to flooding issues but all the other tours seemed to be working. Wish they had called us sooner.

This zodiac boat tour is one of the two best things we did in Iceland (the other being the glacier snowmobile tour). Beautiful is the only word to describe these icebergs which you ride up close to, and if you are lucky you can see...More

Get up close and person with the glacier, and seals if you're lucky! This boat tour takes you around the lagoon with plenty of stops along the way for close up photos of everything.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide (I wish I could remember his name) was informative and passionate about the glacier, icebergs, and lagoon. He answered all our questions. They provide warm suits to wear that also serve as life preservers....More

I would do the same tour again, you got to see the ice-bergs up close and the glaciers. Our guide was good but not really informative. But the view and nature is breath-taking.

It is possible that the camera could get wet as the boat travels quickly. But if you are sensible and only take photographs when the boat is stationary or travelling slowly there should be no problem.

You can book a boat ride from the 15th May onward but only if it's on the Amphibian which doesn't get so close to the glacier. The Zodiac tours start on 1June but you have all the info if you go to the site of the icelagoon.
