Booked an hours snow mobile drive with my husband. This was very expensive and so I really wanted to enjoy the trip. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and this did spoil the trip with low cloud preventing us from seeing much of the scenery. On arrival, the room where you get kitted out was very full. It... More

I booked with Mountaineers of Iceland before we departed on our trip. I had done my research through websites, reviews and emailing companies to decide between the many companies that offer snowmobiling excursions (all around the same price). I chose Mountaineers because they were accommodating, answered all questions I had before I went to Iceland and they had great reviews.... More

My partner and I booked the snowmobile tour on Langjokull Glacier with Mountaineers of Iceland. We both wanted to do something a bit different and more extreme in Iceland this time and experience nature up close - so this seemed like a great way to do it. And we were not wrong - it was one of the THE best... More

Great day sightseeing and really well looked after by our very informative driver Bjarni. Was full of stories regarding what we were driving past etc. Yes the day is long but it's not like your sitting on the M25 is it! The snowmobiling is expensive and a little procession like at times but then again you don't want to go... More

We have booked the 1 hour snowmobile tour incl. the transfere from Gullfoss Cafe. The snowmobile tour was a desaster, since all mobiles (50 or more) drove togehter and all in one line. There was almost no chance to go faster than 15 km/h. It felt like in an traffic yam. The tour is only suitable for people who wanna... More

I did a combo Golden Circle Tour and glacier snowmobiling. We had so much fun snowmobiling. There were some who had trouble with the ride but we're quickly assisted by the crew. We had several guides and a couple of first aid crew. They gave us instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and then off we go. A few... More

Ugh. I wanted this to be a great adventure. Snowmobiling on a glacier in Iceland, it sounded amazing! But, it was probably the biggest (and most expensive) let down. Long story short was there was more waiting (in the snow bus, on the snow mobiles, back in the bus) than anything else. We got to ride the snowmobiles for about... More

This tour is amazing. Full day - we were out for 10 hours. Our guide, Einar, was brilliant, helpful, funny & informative. We did snowmobiling on a glacier (in a blizzard!) I expect the views are stunning!! The staff were so careful to make sure we all kept together & took our safety very seriously. We stopped for delicious pizza... More

Would not recommend – we did a snowmobiling tour with them, they advertise 1 hour of snowmobiling, but in reality, it was 20 minutes of total driving – certainly not worth the amount that they charge for it. There were 40-50 people on our tour, which meant that you just drove in a straight line, so this took away any... More

We went to do snowboarding. We were pickup from hotel then we drive to the snowboarding base to get equipment. The drive to the glacier was jumpy but fun. Since it was mostly ice then snow its was very difficult to go up the glacier to the snow area. We got stuck and slid backwards very often due to the... More
