Don´t miss out on the unforgettable experience Special Tours offers you in whale watching in Reykjavik, Iceland: Whale Watching Express! Our whale watching boat, Rósin (The Rose), offers an absolute innovation in whale watching adventures in Iceland, it is fast and a luxurious whale watching boat, one of its kind in Iceland, providing security and luxury for all. The boat is both safe and quiet, as well as being equipped with the latest technology. The whale watching tours start from the Reykjavik Old Harbour and during puffin season (1 May - 15 Aug) we sail past the puffin islands Akurey and Lundey, inhabited by thousands of puffins. From there it takes us only 15 - 20 minutes to get to where the whales are. In the whale watching tours you´ll see whales in their natural environment, quite up close and personal. The friendly guides and captain point out where to spot the whales on the surface of the sea and give you interesting information about the different kinds of whales you can expect to see.

My family and I went on this tour the same morning we landed in Reykjavik on April 10th. We were very tired and ran a little late getting to the Old Harbor. The Special Tours staff were so amazing and friendly. They immediately called over to the boat and had them wait for us. The crew were so gracious, even... More

We did this in the afternoon. Said it would take 3hrs. It took 4 which I didn't mind too much. Got to see some porpoises briefly. Even got to see bits of a whale from some distance. Very cold even on a nice day. Not really worth the trip to be honest and we got to see something. Sometimes you... More

Since I was told that spring would be a great time to make a whale watching tour in Iceland I decided to go with Special Tours. We drove about 1 hour out in to the sea and then searched for 2 hours. The captain often told us that some whales were around us but they never made it to the... More

The sea was like a millpond and the sky cloudless making it an ideal day to go whale watching. After two and a half hours we thought is was going to be a failure. But as we headed back to port we spotted a small pod of white beaked dolphins then a Minke whale and calf. The Skipper abandoned the... More

Booking on to this whale watching tour with Special Tours wasn't planned, it was spur of the moment after a half day Reykjavik city tour, and it was very enjoyable. Like we did you can buy tickets shortly before departure at their harbour office. Costing roughly €90 for a voyage of about two and a half hours we actually spent... More

Amazing experience seeing all nature has to offer. The time I went I was lucky enough to see plenty of dolphins and whales, even the tour guide said it was one of the best whale watching tours she ever seen. The staff were really friendly and told us lots of interesting facts about whales and dolphins. Gala was extremely friendly.... More

Even though we did not see many whales and no close encounters the guide made his best to keep us informed and had a good educational part. Very well organised, friendly staff and a nice boat. Just to be on the sea was great!

Lovely tour and boat was clean with great staff. The suits available were not sufficient for us however as we weren't able to fit them comfortably. We booked this trip via our hotel last minute as the sun was shining and the sea was calm and we weren't disappointed. We were on one of their faster boats which was very well equipped and it wasn't long before we spotted a pod of white beaked dolphins that interacted with the boat. We thought we were out of...
