We booked our Golden circle tour before we arrived in Iceland, we were picked up from our hotel at 6am and then after a couple of more pickups headed out of Reykjavik. Our driver was knowledgeable and any questions asked and answer given straight away....More

I think the south coast tour. There is a fair amount of travel time in the van with either trip.

If you have lots of time, are familiar with the language and street signs and know where all the "sights" are and the history of the areas, then you could tour on your own. I much prefer to get as much out of my sight... More
