Our bus arrival was late, on a very windy, rainy day ( couldn't see the building adjacent to the depot about 50 yards or metres away) so we weren't informed to put plastic bags over our socks inside our hiking boots. We were given an extra raincoats to wear over our own waterproof gear (helpful and necessary). As a result... More

We stayed an extra day after our organized tour to do this attraction. It was very interesting and exciting. The inside of the volcano is very colorful and there is much to see. The staff were very nice and helpful. All in all a wonderful experience.

You can given... More

It's a good hike from 'basecamp' to the actual volcano, not the thing I would recommend for little children, but when you have some kind of fitness, some good shoes and if the... More

We went on several tours while in Iceland, and this is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Slowly dropping down into the darkness of the volcano was really an incredible adventure. When we talk about our trip to Iceland with friends this tour is always the highlight.

Although it's quite expensive, this is a wonderful and unique experience you will have in your life, there isn't other place in the world when you can do this. Wonderful colors, silence, peace...the attraction is very well performed so you never go down in big groups, only few people, and you have much time to take pictures, relax, admire the... More
