The exhibition Points of View at the Culture House takes guests on a journey through the Icelandic visual world of past and present. Artifacts and works of art from the varied collections of six institutions provide a reflection of Iceland's visual art history and cultural heritage. Artists with different backgrounds and living conditions have expressed similar ideas at all times. There are seven points of view to be found in as many wings of the Culture House, connecting what you'll see, independent from the medium or time.

Better to go to the National Museum instead. Of course you can see both on the same day with one admission.

We had already seen several exhibits in the city and this one was one of the best. We were left scratching our heads after leaving so early of the art exhibits, but the Points of View exhibit really tied together the people, culture, and land...More

Happened to get here by chance. It is also located within a glance of the glittering new harbor exhibition complex but discreetly set apart from the tourist trail. The exterior seems unassuming but within it is something to behold. Set on 3 floors it has...More

My husband and I went to the Culture House due to free tickets we obtained from the National Museum of Iceland. After seeing how impressive the National museum is, this felt a little lack luster. While the artifacts were neat, the information wasn't close by...More

Wonderful exhibitions provide a wealth of insight into the history and culture of Iceland. I am so glad it was one of the first places that we stopped. So nice to have a bit more appreciation for the country's heritage before exploring the countryside.

Interesting to know what Icelanders thought of Iceland before today & how they grew to love it over the years.

This museum is totally worth your time for a very unique collection of early Icelandic manuscripts. It is centrally located and the admission fee is part of the National Museum ticket. You will probably need one hour to see everything.

Came here as a part of our city card and was fairly disappointed after being very impressed by both the Settlement Exhibit and National Museum of Iceland. This museum had a lot more modern art than I expected, and not as many historical exhibits. Definitely...More

The Culture House has an eclectic array of displays. An impressive library and reading room, a variety of modern art and historical artifacts, and some just weird stuff.
