The exhibition Points of View at the Culture House takes guests on a journey through the Icelandic visual world of past and present. Artifacts and works of art from the varied collections of six institutions provide a reflection of Iceland's visual art history and cultural heritage. Artists with different backgrounds and living conditions have expressed similar ideas at all times. There are seven points of view to be found in as many wings of the Culture House, connecting what you'll see, independent from the medium or time.

I enjoy all museums and art and this place did not disappoint. My 20 year old daughter and I loved the old restored building as much as the art work. We took many pictures throughout the building including the triangle windows on the top floor that look out over the water. The themes of exhibitions try to connect the art... More

We visited a few attractions while in Reykjavik and this is one of the better ones we went to. It has a lot of history, art and other various exhibits well worth looking at. It also has a cloak room so you can store your bags and coats if you want. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. There is... More

Nice collection representing different aspects of cultural Iceland including art, manuscripts, plus current art forms/sculptures. Worth spending some time when near harbor area or browsing shops

We were given a free ticket to this building when we visited the National Museum. The building is lovely. The young woman at the counter explained that the exhibits were chosen from all the museums and grouped together in a manner that the visitor should make connections between different times. The employees there were very proud of the exhibit.

I visit Iceland several times a year, and I have visited here on several trips and enjoyed it. Now I have learned that my favorite baker, Julia Mai, has opened a new café with another Julia serving wine, coffee, and the pastries that make me swoon. My Study Abroad students loved their visit, and I will bring many back to... More

We came here on a stormy day (the roads were closed due to the storm) and had an excellent time! Our admission fee allowed us to also visit the National Museum of Iceland, which was also very interesting. We spent about ~2 hours here. We came here because we visited the Settlement Exhibition in Reykjavik and we wanted to see... More

My introduction to Icelandic culture came at this museum. Interesting enough to warrant a strong hour or two.
