worth a visit

There was plenty for everyone's taste and there were several inter-active sites within the building. The amenities were good.

The markings on the floor put you on a path that doesn't let you see everything, sometimes ignoring one side of the room! I know... More

They were excavating and found the ruins of a Viking longhouse under Reykjavik, and built the museum around it. From the street level you can look down through a glass 'bench' and see part of the excavation. Self guided tour. Wouldn't take more than an hour. Quite interesting. Very small shop. Activities for kids to do - like colouring, and... More

A good insight into Ireland's history. The lighting is very subdued making the exhibits hard to see fine details

I love museums and rated this more highly than my husband who felt this was very limited. Kids (12,14) got bored in less than an hour.

This is a small art museum but filled with very different nd fun art pieces. The audio visual room was a real treat. Any kids on your trip will love seeing their words translated into art projected on to the wall.
