We were curious about this church that we could see from our hotel room so we went inside on our way out of town. I loved the charming lighting and the beautiful painting of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus. It is definitely worth a...More

Modern day church which lacked any character, Set on the hill overlooking a lovely bay but for me this was the only redeeming feature. Filled in some time waiting for the ferry.

Drive up here and look at the church - it is not usually open - which is very unusual. Then admire the view of the town and the fjord. Well worth a quick stop.

This church is a must for visitors-so simple, so serene, so beautiful. It is situated on a high point at Stykkishhelmur and the design is a perfect fit with the geography.

We stayed in this small town and our room looked out on this beautiful church. Worth a walk, amazing church for a small town.

Nice looking church. Took a few nice pictures. It was close so no chance to go in... It looks better from far ( eg. from the cliff.)

We stayed here solely for the purpose of catching the ferry to Westfjords, and were pleasantly surprised to find a quaint town that we were able to explore and delight in for the better part of a day. Picturesque and colorful, it is a photographers...More
