Azure Window, but not only

We did a boat trip and I can tell you that, even the Azure Window is amazing, so it is the boat trip through the caves, the purple water and the corals.

Even if our plan was to visit Azure Window during the morning time, we landed here almost at sunset. After a short visit to Victoria, the capital of Gozo Island, we arrived at Dwerja with a few minutes before sunset. I can truly tell that it was the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen.

This is a totally unspoilt miracle 30 mins bus ride from Victoria bus station. The buses are once an hour on a week day so can easily time to spend a few hours. The option of a 10min boat ride around the area is worth if money isn't a major issues. A walk along the coast to Dwejra Bay is... More

This is an unexpectedly magnificent place situated on the very Western tip of Gozo , easily accesible by bus from Victoria , Gozo. On the coast with some spectacular geological formations , not least of which is the Azure Window which is a rock formation forming an arch through which the sea foams. When I visited in November 2016 there... More

If you visit the island of Gozo then the Azure Window has surely to be a 'must see' item in your itinerary. The landscape is truly remarkable, almost like no other place on earth with a very 'timeless' essence. You could easily imagine the ancients visiting here, this totally unspoiled view. The Azure Window has been photographed many times -... More

Good place to visit. Nice view. Visited the place in the middle of december and the weather was still sunny and beautiful. Clear sky and very clean, blue water.

We visited at 2pm after heavy rain the previous night and the sea was unfortunately not the promised azure blue colour! Still, it was worth cycling down (and then up) the hill and, avoiding the large puddles, we carefully walked across the uneven rocks to take the ubiquitous photo. Unfortunately there were some foolhardy tourists on top of the crumbling... More

The access to the place is done on a very comfy road, like many roads on Gozo unlike Malta. As we visited off-season, I suppose it's been very quiet compared to peak seasons. There's always a possibility to take good pictures. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it's probably just a matter of time until the top will collapse due to... More

Stunning views and lovely photo points. However, take care as the rock at the edges can crumble. There's also a nice shop selling various glassware.
