Thanks for your e-mail and that would be a fantastic time to come to Gozo and dive with us, however in February the weather can be unpredictable and there may be some stormy days, so there may not be diving every day and do bring some warm cloths. Malta and Gozo have been voted 2rd best diving destination worldwide by readers of Dive magazine and offers Caverns, Caves, wrecks and stunning visibility often better than 30m. Gozo is just 8 mile by 4mile across with over 10 world class shore dives and 8 world class boat dives. With the island being so small the dive sites are at worst a 10minute drive away, meaning you spend your holiday having fun rather than getting to and from the sites as you would on the mainland or other destinations.
Our dive centre and apartment holidays are based in Marsalforn, which is the only place on the island that has a beach, a huge selection of fantastic restaurants and 5 bars to choose from as well as shops to provide everything you need for self catering. Marsalforn Bay is also ideal for swimming or snorkelling, so you really do not need a swimming pool and you are welcome to leave your wetsuits in our dive centre, which is just on the sea front, 20 yards from the sea. There are also hourly bus services, that are extremely cheap, to and from one of Europe's beast beaches and Historic Victoria so it's easy to get around and there is plenty to do. We can also arrange many other adventure activities, like sea kayaking, rock climbing and coasteering, so there is also plenty for non divers and days off, have a look at my you tube videos for the diving and a day out sea kayaking in the caves around Comino click o the link at the top of my website . There is also yoga lessons and painting classes as well as spa passes for those who want to relax more..
I can offer you a sea and country view apartment for 34euros a night or our sea front one for 60euros a night. Both come with a welcome pack of basic shopping and bed linen and bath towels 1 x week. The sea and country view flat is 3 minutes walk from my dive centre while the sea front one is just next to it prices are for the apartments and not per person. At this time of year however a hotel may be a better option as they tend to be warmer, the Kempinski is the best as it has heated indoor pools or the Ta Cenc, and we can collect from either..The Calypso is closest but has limited indoor facilities if the weather turns.
We have a special deal where you can upgrade a guided dive to an deep, multi level, fish id or naturalist, adventure/specialty dive for just an extra 10euros, if you complete a course we just it is just 30euros for the certification with PADI and the respective manual cost if you do not already have the manual. If you have not dived in a while and/or are not very experienced, we will include a skills review at the start of the first dive and unlike most centers, we do not charge extra to the guided diving prices for this as we want to encourage responsible behavior.
Trip advisor does not let me post links so it's roughly 30euros a dive with full kit or 21 a dive with tanks and weights but check my website for the full details as it gets cheaper the more you do.. We dive in smaller groups (no more than 4 per guide) to increase safety and enjoyment and have a later, more flexible start time than the other dive centers’ which means you can enjoy a more leisurely breakfast and dive at a time that misses the early morning rush, so you see fish not other divers fins.
I can do the return airport to accommodation transfers (you need 4.66euros each for the return Gozo ferry ticket which you have to buy locally) for 90euros for up to 4 of you. A taxi driver will meet you as you come out of arrivals at the airport and take you to the Gozo ferry, we meet you at the other side and take you to the accommodation and give you an orientation. Alternatively a green way of getting across is the bus service from the airport that runs until 22.00hrs the X1, I think it is just 2.20euros each way and we can collect or return on the Gozo side for 10euros each way, or you can catch the 322 bus to Marsalforn from the ferry.
We have the most experienced teaching/guiding team on the island with the average teaching experience of my staff being 10 years, with over 2000 dives each on Gozo.
Anyway I hope this helps and that you choose us, if you want any further information or wish to book, please do not hesitate to contact me .
