Probably the worst beach on Gozo. Sun Beds packed together like sardines and food outlets with staff who are clearly in training for the most rude staff world championships, they are in definitely in with a chance of a medal. Avoid

This is the best beach in Gozo, with red sand and easy access from the local bus service. It has a wooden walk way down to the beach which leads to lovely clear water where you can watch the fish. The sea when calm is...More

Ramla Bay is a must for families holidaying on Gozo. Parking either on road - which might be free - or in the "car park" close to the beach for which a small charge is made. I've always paid to park here. There are a...More

We thought that Ramla would be packed as it was a beautiful day on which we went but, while busy, was quite calm. Very helpful guys sorted out the loungers and brollies and the food at the café was delicious. The red sand is definitely...More

Particular sandy beach. The first part is quite pebbly so better walk in further for pure sany area. The sea level is low so one walks in and sea keeps on being low to one knees. Take care of under water currents. Play safe.

I love this Bay with its red-orange sand from which it gets its name (red=hamra). It's got a boardwalk to take you to the front end of the beach, a lovely statue which adds a traditional island feel, a clay area and more. You can...More

Easy free parking. Excellent food at Rosie's restaurant. Water is clear and warm. Some areas the entry to water is rocky so shoes recommended. Lifeguards present whenever we have visited. Buoyed areas for swimming. Can't fault it.

Ramla was a great day but very hot! It is almost essential to bring an umbrella or rent one for around €5! I would advise to Set up near the ocean as the sand gets extremely hot! There is a great place for lunch up...More

Not directly. All buses run through the city of Victoria (Rabat), so you would need to get a bus from Mgarr (Imgarr) to Victoria and then a bus from there to Ramla. It doesn't take long though, what with the Island being so... More
